The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants for another three years.
Under the deal, MIA members with a minimum of six years of relevant working experience can fast-track their way to CIMA membership, subject to passing the CGMA Strategic Case Study exam and meeting the practical experience requirements.
According to a press release, the agreement has played a part in expanding career opportunities for accounting, finance, and business professionals in Malaysia, as well as in allowing employers have access to a broader and more globally competitive talent pool.
