Australian QSR giant modernises financial operations across 500 outlets

Hungry Jack’s has selected Trintech to automate and modernise its high-volume transaction matching processes, aiming to drive greater operational efficiency, visibility, and internal control across its finance operations.finance.

Operating close to 500 restaurant locations across Australia and processing roughly 300 million transactions annually, the fast-food chain required a scalable solution to transition away from manual, spreadsheet-based financial reconciliations.

Managing reconciliation across expanding payment ecosystems—spanning in-restaurant points of sale and third-party delivery channels—had created complex operational bottlenecks that required automated oversight.

“Our goal was to eliminate as many manual matching as possible while giving our finance team clear visibility into the exceptions that require attention,” said Christine Bletsas, CFO at Hungry Jack’s.

“After evaluating multiple vendors, Trintech stood out for its industry-leading transaction matching capabilities and consistently high match rates. Their ability to automate reconciliation across complex payment ecosystems gave us confidence they were the right partner.” Christine Bletsas

Trintech provides an artificial intelligence platform focused on governed autonomous finance, helping chief financial officers modernise financial operations and close management. The deployment enables Hungry Jack’s finance department to streamline core ledger reconciliation, isolate genuine exceptions rapidly, and reduce the resource overhead traditionally associated with manual cross-referencing.

“Today’s finance leaders need more than automation. They need a trusted partner that delivers measurable business outcomes while strengthening governance and control,” said Claudia Pirko, vice president and general manager, APAC at Trintech.

“Hungry Jack’s is transforming the way it manages one of the most complex transaction environments in the restaurant industry, and we’re excited to partner with them on that journey. By combining industry-leading transaction matching with deep expertise in high-volume restaurant and third-party delivery reconciliation, we’re helping their finance team automate more, focus on the exceptions that matter, and build a stronger foundation for future growth.” Claudia Pirko

Through this deployment, Hungry Jack’s aims to establish a governed, exception-driven accounting architecture capable of scaling alongside ongoing commercial growth and evolving consumer transaction behaviours.
