Deloitte listed talent, performance and growth as the priorities of finance leaders in 2022. Among finance leaders, the commonality we hear are goals that include developing digital skills, restructuring/reframing finance to support a digital-first, digital-native enterprise, further improving flexibility of budgeting and finance recognising the uncertainty of what lies ahead and improving the return on enterprise-wide digital investments.
What is certain, commented Gartner, is that initiatives for the year will take more time and be difficult to achieve in 2023.
The theme for the second annual FutureCFO Excellence Awards 2023, Architecting Finance for an Autonomous Future, acknowledges the many challenges and opportunities that finance professionals face as individuals and members of a team united towards a common goal – to digitally elevate and deliver real-time, predictive support that drives sustained growth.
For 2023, over a hundred submissions were received. With nearly double the total from the previous year, there is a clear indication of greater awareness and appreciation for the valuable contributions of finance professionals in the growth, resilience and resurgence of their organisations and the industry at large.
The winners will be revealed on 22 February 2023 at a gala dinner at the St. Regis Singapore.
