CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announced recently the appointment of Steven Hendry as its CFO, effective immediately.
According to the Institute, Hendry leads a global team in overseeing the finance operations of the organisation, reporting to Margaret Franklin, CFA, President and CEO at CFA Institute.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA/CGMA), he previously served as interim CFO and, before that, global controller of CFA Institute, the institute said.
“Hendry joined the organisation at a time of turmoil in the world, and we are grateful for his stewardship of our finances and his continued leadership now as CFO,” said Margaret Franklin, CFA, President and CEO of CFA Institute.
Hendry has more than 20 years' financial and leadership experience, said the CFA Institute, adding that he held roles at Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank, and Perpetual, where he led regional and global teams across Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US.
His career covers financial control, reporting and analysis, finance transformation, strategic financial planning, strategic change programs to improve efficiencies and transparency, and oversight of audit and regulatory initiatives, the institute noted.
