Southeast Asia’s e-commerce car platform Carsome Group recently announced the appointment of its CFO Juliet Zhu as group president.
Zhu will retain her current role of CFO, the group said.
On top of financial reporting, planning and analysis, and investor relations under her CFO role, Zhu — as doubling up as group president — is also responsible now for driving corporate development initiatives, including strategic partnerships and investment opportunities, developing new market strategies, and managing Carsome’s overall capital structure and synergy creation across its businesses.
Zhu is an experienced venture capitalist, equity analyst, and portfolio manager, according to a company statement, adding that she has more a decade of experience in growth strategy and capital planning and experience in the investment industry across China, India, and Southeast Asia.
As Carsome’s Group CFO, she led Carsome’s Series D, D2, and E fundraising rounds, on top of strategic acquisitions such as the recently completed iCar Asia transaction, the firm noted.
Zhu’s appointment comes after Carsome’s recent launch of its car refurbishment facility Carsome Certified Lab in Malaysia, the firm added.
