Carsome Group Inc., a Southeast Asian integrated car e-Commerce platform, announced recently its appointment of Miguel Fernandez as its group CFO.
Succeeding Juliet Zhu, who will remain in her role as group president, Fernandez will report directly to Carsome’s chairman and group CEO, Eric Cheng.
Miguel's background encompasses a wide range of industries, including fintech, e-commerce, manufacturing, distribution, private equity, and financial services, spanning public, private, and venture capital-funded firms, said Carsome.
He has held senior financial leadership roles at Fortune 100 companies such as Amazon, Dell, and Coupang, with nearly seven years of experience in Asia Pacific, the firm added.
Before joining Carsome, Fernandez was the group CFO at Maya, a KKR and Tencent-backed fintech in the Philippines.
Prior to Maya, he served as the CFO at Coupang Fulfillment Services, Coupang’s largest subsidiary.
