The Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) will be launching training workshops in support of listed companies with their sustainability reporting, making way for a comprehensive understanding of the application of the requisite International Sustainability Disclosure Standards.
The project will be in partnership with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, in aid of Singapore-listed companies as they work through mandatory climate-related disclosures in their sustainability reporting.
Under the initiative, organisations can benefit by learning about best practices in sustainability reporting, including the application of International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Standards through hands-on practical exercises and case studies.
SGX RegCo will also be partially sponsoring the workshop fees for up to 400 attendees from participating listed companies, in support of the implementation of sustainability reporting standards, and to help companies prepare information and help investors to receive decision-useful information.
Eight sessions are planned to take place starting April 17 through September, covering various topics including Singapore’s climate reporting and assurance roadmap, and the key differences between the currently-adopted Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting standards and the newly-adopted ISSB standards.
