The second edition of the CGMA Leadership Academy will be held from 10 to 13 October 2022 in Singapore, said The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, representing the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) recently.
Aimed at accounting and finance professionals from across Asia this four day leadership programme will provide them with strategic thinking, self-leadership, volunteerism and professional skills needed in a fast-evolving business world, AICPA noted.
The CGMA Leadership Academy 2022 will bring together business, accounting and finance thought leaders and experts with up-and-coming accounting and finance talent to discuss two of major trends in today’s business landscape: ESG matters and the digital transformation of the finance function, the accountancy body added.
They will get practical insights on how to build a purpose-driven culture in their organisations, enhance their organisations' resilience through uncertainty and disruption and explore how finance can contribute to long-term value creation, AICPA said.
“The changes the world and the accounting and finance profession experienced in the past two and a half years has demonstrated the importance of not only staying on top of current trends, but of staying ahead of the curve to build successful careers and help organisations adapt and thrive no matter the circumstance,” said Venkkat Ramanan, FCMA, CGMA, Regional Vice President – Asia Pacific, at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, representing AICPA & CIMA. “This is exactly what the CGMA Leadership Academy is about, and I look forward to seeing what this year’s attendees will achieve.”
